Musinsa Standard Launches Eco-Friendly Product 'Green Line'
[Asia Economy Reporter Eunmo Koo] Musinsa Standard announced on the 22nd that it will launch the ‘Green Line,’ consisting of clothing and accessories made with eco-friendly materials, in celebration of Earth Day.
The ‘Musinsa Standard Green’ products apply ‘Regen,’ an eco-friendly yarn independently developed by Hyosung TNC, a domestic textile manufacturer. Earlier, Musinsa signed a memorandum of understanding (MOU) with Hyosung TNC in January to introduce eco-friendly materials and develop products.
Regen yarn is recycled polyester made from discarded PET bottles. It is eco-friendly, reducing carbon dioxide emissions, fossil fuel, and water usage, while maintaining the same quality as regular polyester. Musinsa Standard applied Regen yarn to the Green Line T-shirts and socks.
They also released slacks made with recycled polyester, raw cotton denim without dyeing, and shampoo bars practicing plastic zero. Additionally, environmentally friendly elements were reflected in packaging and packages, such as tags made from chlorine-free bleached pulp-based eco-friendly paper, 100% cotton labels, and polybags recycled from waste vinyl.
