Kim Hak-do, Chairman of the Korea SMEs and Startups Agency, Visits Metaverse Company 'InnoSimulation'
Visiting the Site of a Metaverse Platform Technology Company
[Asia Economy Reporter Kim Cheolhyun] The Small and Medium Business Corporation (hereinafter referred to as SBC) announced that Chairman Kim Hakdo visited InnoSimulation (CEO Jo Junhee), an XR metaverse platform technology company located in Gangseo-gu, Seoul, on the 22nd to encourage business achievements and listen to difficulties.
InnoSimulation is a first-generation simulator company established in 2000. It has developed early vehicle simulation technology and expanded its application to various industrial fields. Currently, it has grown into an innovative company encompassing virtual and augmented reality simulator technology, one of the core technologies of the 4th industrial revolution. It is also the number one company in the domestic industrial virtual training system market.
In the early stages of the business, it faced difficulties securing funds for technology commercialization. At that time, SBC highly evaluated its technological capabilities and supported 1 billion KRW through the Development Technology Commercialization Fund (Growth Sharing Type). Using this as a stepping stone, sales increased from 7.3 billion KRW in 2010 to 13.8 billion KRW in 2021. Recently, it experienced temporary management difficulties due to COVID-19. Once again, SBC provided timely emergency management stabilization funds, enabling the company to recover its sales. Currently, it continues stable growth as a metaverse specialized company.
