Supporting Small Logistics Companies' Overseas Marketing... Busan City Provides Up to 3 Million Won in Aid
Three Fields Including UN Procurement Market Marketing and Foreign Language Personnel
[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Kim Yong-woo] Busan City supports overseas marketing for logistics companies.
Busan City is promoting a logistics company overseas marketing support project in collaboration with Busan Technopark and has begun recruiting companies to participate in this project.
The project selects 20 logistics companies in Busan and supports them with joining international logistics alliances and consulting for entry into the UN procurement market. This project was first introduced nationwide in 2020 and has been carried out annually.
It was established to find growth engines for local logistics companies facing difficulties due to company downsizing, lack of in-house technology, and downturns in the shipbuilding and shipping industries, and to generate economic effects.
▲ A representative project is the overseas business linkage support utilizing WCA (World Cargo Alliance, International Freight Forwarders Alliance) to support local small and medium logistics companies' entry into new global markets.
Additionally, ▲ support for entry into the UN procurement logistics market ▲ support for foreign language-capable personnel from local universities are provided, with up to 3 million KRW per company across these three areas.
A recruitment announcement for support companies and a project briefing session are scheduled to be held in April, and detailed information such as participation applications can be found on the Busan Technopark website.
The city and Busan Technopark plan to discover various new projects in addition to this project, which has high satisfaction among beneficiary companies and directly helps increase company sales.
