View original image[Asia Economy Reporter Han Jinju] On Friday the 22nd, the whole country will be mostly cloudy, with rain expected in the Seoul metropolitan area and other central regions from morning to late afternoon.
The Korea Meteorological Administration forecasted that due to the influence of a pressure trough passing to the north, about 5mm of rain will fall from morning to late afternoon in Seoul, Incheon, Gyeonggi, inland and mountainous areas of Gangwon, and northern Chungbuk.
Strong wind warnings have been issued for the Incheon and Gyeonggi west coast and the northern Chungnam west coast until morning, and for Gangwon Yeongdong, northeastern mountainous areas of Gyeongbuk, and the northern Gyeongbuk east coast until tonight. Winds will blow very strongly at speeds of 10-16 m/s with gusts exceeding 20 m/s.
The Korea Meteorological Administration urged, "Facilities such as outdoor screening clinics, construction sites, vinyl greenhouses, and banners should be thoroughly inspected and managed, and outdoor workers such as those at construction sites or delivery personnel should be especially cautious of safety accidents."
Some inland areas of Seoul and Gyeonggi, inland Chungcheong, Gangwon, Jeonbuk, and Gyeongsang regions under dry weather warnings will experience very dry air. Other regions also have dry areas. In case of fire, strong winds often lead to large-scale fires, so extra caution is required.
For the time being, the temperature difference between day and night will be very large at 15-20 degrees Celsius, and temperatures will be similar to or slightly higher than the average (morning lows 5-11°C, daytime highs 18-22°C).
As of 7 a.m., temperatures were 14.8°C in Seoul, 11.8°C in Daejeon, 13.3°C in Jeonju, 10.6°C in Daegu, 11.5°C in Gwangju, 12.5°C in Busan, and 12.5°C in Jeju. The forecasted daytime highs are 19°C in Seoul, 23°C in Daejeon, 24°C in Jeonju, 29°C in Daegu, and 21°C in Busan.
On Saturday the 23rd, the morning low temperature is expected to be 5-15°C, and the daytime high temperature 18-28°C.
Until 9 a.m., dense fog with visibility under 200 meters is expected mainly in eastern Jeonnam and the Gyeongnam region. Other southern regions will also experience fog with visibility under 1 km.
