Jeju Air Employees Launch 'Reducing Disposable Cups' Campaign
[Asia Economy Reporter Yoo Hyun-seok] Jeju Air announced on the 21st that it will conduct an in-house campaign to reduce disposable cups among employees ahead of Earth Day on April 22.
From April 22 to May 22, Jeju Air will hold a certification photo event and a prize giveaway event for the department that uses the most, encouraging the use of tumblers and eco-friendly cups at the subsidiary-type standard workplace for the disabled, Modurak Cafe, operated within the company.
Meanwhile, since 2017, Jeju Air pilots have voluntarily been conducting the "Save the Polar Bears Project" to reduce carbon emissions by improving fuel efficiency. Since 2019, the airline has been replacing in-flight straws, paper cups, and plastic with eco-friendly materials.
