Gumi city officials are busy visiting the National Assembly and elsewhere to secure national budget funds.
View original image[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Yeo Jong-gu] Public officials from Gumi City, Gyeongbuk, visited the National Assembly on the 14th to meet with local lawmakers Gu Ja-geun and Kim Young-sik to explain major local projects and discuss joint responses including budget procurement plans.
On that day, 10 Gumi City officials visited the National Assembly to explain the justification and necessity of a total of 74 projects, including 25 new projects and 49 ongoing projects.
They discussed projects related to new growth research and development for future technology innovation and digital transformation, such as the Defense Industry Innovation Cluster Construction Project, Energy Self-Sufficiency Infrastructure Construction, Northeast Region Metaverse Hub Valley Construction, and Future Urban Air Mobility Parts Commercialization Support Infrastructure.
They also shared the necessity and implementation plans for ongoing projects such as the Smart Green Industrial Complex Project, the 2nd and 3rd National Industrial Complex Competitiveness Enhancement Projects, and the Urban Regeneration New Deal Project.
They agreed to join forces with local lawmakers to ensure smooth progress of projects closely related to residents' lives, such as the Disaster Risk Improvement District Maintenance Project, sewage treatment facility installation, and urban flood prevention projects.
