Namwon-si Selected for the Ministry of Employment and Labor's 'Senior Career Job Project'
[Namwon=Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Jeong Young-gwon] Jeonbuk Namwon City is making efforts to discover jobs in various fields to the extent that the ‘Agricultural Technology Service Manager’ project was selected as a major job participation case in the ‘Senior Career-type Job Project’ hosted by the Ministry of Employment and Labor.
According to the city on the 14th, the Senior Career-type Job Project is a project targeting retired professionals aged 50 to 69, providing services needed in the region to strengthen the role of the local community while serving as a stepping stone for retired seniors to re-employ in private sector jobs.
This year’s project includes 20 projects in four fields: regional services, agricultural technology services, small library book coordination, and household safety doctors. Participants receive wages above the minimum wage and are enrolled in the four major social insurances.
Those wishing to participate register their careers and qualifications through job counseling with the ‘Senior Job Manager’ at the Namwon City Job Center, updating the retired senior database, which is utilized annually for Ministry of Employment and Labor public projects.
A city official said, “We look forward to the new challenges of seniors who will contribute to the local community while starting their second act in life by continuously utilizing the expertise and experience they have accumulated so far,” adding, “We will continue to actively respond to government job public projects to provide jobs to many citizens.”
