Mokpo Yudalsan Spring Festival Returns After 3 Years with Great Success
Advance Reservation System Operated from the 9th to the 10th
[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Jeong Seunghyun] The Yudalsan Spring Festival, held for the first time in over three years, concluded successfully in Mokpo, Jeollanam-do.
The spring festival, held over two days from the 9th to the 10th, was conducted online in a non-face-to-face format under the theme "Spring has come, let's enjoy spring."
According to the city, the offline programs held around Yudalsan were safely operated by strictly adhering to the government's local festival quarantine guidelines, such as limiting the number of attendees inside the venue through entrance and exit management, the city announced on the 11th.
This year's festival received positive responses with various programs including a metaverse unfolding in virtual space, online-offline linked experiences certifying Yudalsan tourist resources via SNS, online performances streamed live on YouTube, and live commerce featuring local businesses.
The online performances, which involved local artists whose opportunities to perform on stage had been limited due to COVID-19, relieved citizens' cultural thirst and recorded 12,000 views, while the festival website and SNS attracted around 40,000 visitors. The live commerce ranked among the top concurrent visitors on major portal sites, achieving significant promotional effects.
In particular, the "Enjoy Spring Mission Challenge 5 Types," an online-offline linked experience conducted with limited participation through prior reservation, introduced tourist resources around Yudalsan through five mission programs: "Matabom" and "Mandeureobom" at the Wood Culture Experience Center, "Chajabom" at the Sculpture Park, "Jjigeobom" at the Nojeokbong Art Park Museum, and the bouquet "Deonjyeobom" at the Sky Garden of Yudal Art Town.
