[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Park Jin-hyung] Jeonnam Province announced on the 11th that it will conduct safety inspections until the 30th to prevent various safety accidents in rooms and auxiliary facilities due to the increase in the number of users of tourist accommodations during the summer vacation season.
The safety inspection targets are 51 locations, which is 15% of the 342 hotels and condos.
Jeonnam Province will form a joint inspection team with city and county tourism departments and private specialized agencies to carry out the safety inspections.
The main inspection items include ▲ safety of various facilities such as electrical and gas facilities, firefighting facilities, and buildings ▲ whether necessary measures are taken to fulfill the safety obligations of business owners and management responsible persons in accordance with the Serious Accident Punishment Act.
For minor issues and those that can be corrected on-site, immediate action will be taken, and for issues requiring more time, an action plan will be established to address and supplement deficiencies before the official start of the summer vacation season.
