Bucheon-si Expands Tax Credit for Automatic Transfers and Electronic Delivery... Scheduled for June Implementation
[Asia Economy Reporter Park Hyesook] Bucheon City in Gyeonggi Province announced on the 11th that it will significantly expand tax credits for taxpayers who apply for local tax electronic delivery and automatic transfer to support citizens' convenience in tax payment.
The city submitted a revision bill of the city tax reduction ordinance reflecting this content to the council and plans to implement it starting from the automobile tax in June after approval at this month's extraordinary session.
The revision mainly aims to greatly expand the scope of tax credits for local tax electronic delivery, etc., in accordance with the amendment of the Local Tax Special Cases Act (December 28, 2021).
If a taxpayer applies for either local tax electronic delivery or automatic transfer, the tax credit per one tax bill will increase from 200 won to 700 won, and if both are applied for, the tax credit will increase from 300 won to 1,400 won.
The tax credit applies to regular local taxes such as automobile tax, property tax, and resident tax, which are notified according to the designated payment deadlines each year.
For automatic transfer applications, taxpayers can apply directly through WETAX or visit the city hall tax department to apply.
Electronic delivery means receiving tax bills via email or mobile apps. Applications can be made through financial apps operated by 13 commercial banks, card apps (Samsung, Shinhan), simple payment apps (Naver, KakaoPay, Payco), and WETAX.
