JW Group Launches 'JW Green Campaign' to Practice ESG Management
[Asia Economy Reporter Lee Gwan-joo] JW Group announced on the 11th that it will carry out a series of ‘JW Green Campaign’ projects, an employee practice initiative to promote ESG (Environmental, Social, and Governance) management.
As the first activity of the campaign, the group will launch a movement to eliminate disposable products and reduce plastic usage. From the 4th for four days, JW Holdings, JW Pharmaceutical, JW Shinyak, JW Life Science, and other group employees participated in the ‘Wake-Up Tumbler’ campaign. Employees who brought their personal tumblers and visited cafes at the Seoul Seocho-dong headquarters (JW Tower) and JW Dangjin production complex were offered free Americanos.
The campaign also aims to foster an atmosphere of participating in carbon neutrality. On the first Friday of every month, ‘JW Tower Car-Free Day’ will be implemented to encourage the use of public transportation to reduce carbon dioxide emissions. Additionally, an employee ‘Step Donation Campaign’ will be launched, where donations are made based on the number of steps taken.
