View original image[Asia Economy Reporter Na Ye-eun] It has been reported that the prosecution has secured Telegram conversations revealing that Lee Eun-hae, who is wanted as a suspect in the 'Gapyeong Valley Murder Case,' and her lover Jo Hyun-soo attempted to kill Lee’s husband, the late Yoon Mo, using pufferfish poison.
According to the Chosun Ilbo on the 8th, the Incheon District Prosecutors' Office, which intensified its investigation in February last year, obtained Telegram messages exchanged between Lee and Jo after Lee fed her husband pufferfish poison in 2019.
The Telegram messages sent by Lee at the time reportedly included content such as, "I put this much pufferfish poison, so why isn’t he dead?"
The prosecution found about 20 burner phones during a search of the residences of Lee and others, from which they discovered evidence that had not been secured during the police investigation. It is reported that Lee and Jo, both with prior convictions, mainly used burner phones.
Accordingly, the Incheon District Prosecutors' Office conducted a first round of questioning of Lee and others on December 13 last year. While Lee and Jo cooperated during the initial investigation, they disappeared before the second round. It is believed they fled upon learning that the prosecution possessed the Telegram messages.

The prosecution is conducting an investigation, judging that this was a planned murder aimed at claiming 800 million won in life insurance taken out in Yoon’s name.
Earlier, they were also accused of attempting to kill Yoon by feeding him food mixed with pufferfish poison and drowning him in a fishing spot in February and May of the same year, but these attempts failed.
Additionally, according to the police on the 7th, the National Police Agency has instructed the Incheon Police Agency to investigate suspicions surrounding the mysterious deaths of two of Lee’s ex-boyfriends, one in Pattaya, Thailand, and the other in Seokbawi, Incheon.
The 'Pattaya, Thailand Death Case' refers to the incident in July 2014 when Lee’s boyfriend A died while snorkeling with Lee near Coral Island in Pattaya, Thailand. At the time, the local authorities treated it as a simple accident.

The police are also investigating the case of another of Lee’s ex-boyfriends, B, who died in a traffic accident near Seokbawi Intersection in Michuhol-gu (formerly Nam-gu), Incheon, in 2010. Lee was in the vehicle at the time but survived alone, receiving insurance money, while only her boyfriend, who was a passenger, died, raising suspicions.
