Gokseong-gun Signs Business Agreement with Lester Partners
3,000 Billion Investment Plan for Developing Award-Winning Water Sports Tourism Complex
[Gokseong=Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters, Reporter Cha Jong-sun] On the 8th, Jeonnam Gokseong-gun announced that on the 5th, it signed a 'Gokseong Water Leisure Sports Tourism Complex Development Business Agreement' with Lester Partners Co., Ltd. (CEO Kim Jong-su).
Through this agreement, Lester Partners Co., Ltd. plans to invest a total of 300 billion KRW in the Gokseong-eup area of Gokseong-gun.
The goal is to establish a rafting park, a comprehensive sports ground, a resort, a water park, a rowing practice facility (experience center), and a motorboat racing track by 2025.
If the agreement is implemented, approximately 830 new jobs are expected to be created in Gokseong-gun. Additionally, significant direct and indirect ripple effects on the local economy are anticipated.
CEO Kim Jong-su stated, "We will create a top-class water leisure sports tourism complex in Korea so that visitors can enjoy various tourist facilities and cultural performances."
A county official said, "Once the top-level water leisure sports tourism complex is established, it will rapidly emerge as another new tourist attraction alongside Gokseong Train Village. We thank the Lester Partners Co., Ltd. officials for deciding to invest in Gokseong despite difficult conditions. We will do our best to ensure the successful development of the water leisure sports tourism complex in accordance with administrative procedures."
