Hanchang Completes Payment for Ship Sale Amounting to 6.2 Billion Won
[Asia Economy Reporter Jang Hyowon] Hanchang announced on the 8th that the payment of 6.2 billion KRW for the sale of the Hanchang Gangwon ship, owned by its subsidiary Hanchang Shipping, has been completed.
Hanchang plans to improve profitability by expanding sales centered on highly profitable businesses this year while simultaneously improving its financial structure. The company explained that it will accelerate ESG (Environmental, Social, Governance) new businesses, identified as future growth engines, based on securing liquidity for sustainable growth.
Additionally, its affiliate Hanchang Biotech completed a small-scale public offering payment of 1 billion KRW on the 6th. Through this, it plans to expand ESG new businesses that can maximize synergy with Hanchang.
A company official stated, “Since Hanchang aims for a profit turnaround this year, it is accelerating a rigorous business structure reorganization and focusing on securing sound financial health,” adding, “At the same time, new businesses such as ESG and metaverse projects will be fully launched.”
