When You Want to Play, Head to the Library 'Deullaknallak!' ... Gijang-gun Jeonggwan Library Selected as a Children's Complex Cultural Space
[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Hwang Du-yeol] The Jeonggwan Library in Gijang-gun has been selected as the target site for the "2022 Children's Complex Cultural Space (Deullaknallak) Creation Project" hosted by Busan City.
The "2022 Children's Complex Cultural Space Creation Project" is a project to establish creative spaces for children, such as children's libraries, immersive experience content, and digital content, as well as community spaces where parents can gather and communicate together, all within a 15-minute living radius.
Since the vision declaration ceremony in October last year, the city selected 11 pilot project sites for the "Children's Complex Cultural Space Creation Project."
On the 25th of last month, 17 new target sites were additionally selected, including the Jeonggwan Library in Gijang-gun.
Gijang-gun will invest a total project cost of about 470 million KRW to remodel the first floor children's room and lobby of Jeonggwan Library.
The library plans to establish an immersive storytelling experience center using IT core technologies of the 4th Industrial Revolution, an AR augmented reality experience center, and a digital media exhibition space by November.
They also plan to build digital content such as AI book curation and AI robots that read books aloud to support children's reading activities.
