[Asia Economy Online Issue Team] Cha Tae-hyun, who appeared on 'Unexpected Business 2,' wrote an apology letter due to a cashier's calculation mistake.
In the tvN variety show 'Unexpected Business 2' aired on the 7th, actor Cha Tae-hyun and Jo In-sung were shown running a mart alongside new part-timers Yoon Kyung-ho, Shin Seung-hwan, and Park Hyo-jun.
Cha Tae-hyun, who usually handled the checkout, stepped away briefly to make a delivery. During that time, a calculation error occurred at the counter. A bundle of 24 canned colas priced at 19,000 won was sold for 20,400 won, which was more expensive. Moreover, the customer who bought the colas left a few cans as a gift after Park Hyo-jun said, "I like (cola) too."
Cha Tae-hyun wrote a handwritten apology letter regarding the 1,400 won overcharge. On a light purple paper, he wrote, "We are sorry. We mistakenly charged 20,400 won for an item priced at 19,000 won. Please come and claim it," and posted it on the mart's door.
Fortunately, the customer returned later. However, it turned out the reason for the return was not because of the large payment amount but because the card payment had not gone through, so they needed to pay again. The payment had not been completed initially.
