Gyeonggi Technopark (TP) Hosts Meeting with Small and Medium Enterprises in Gyeonggi Region
[Asia Economy Reporter Kim Cheol-hyun] The Ministry of SMEs and Startups (hereinafter referred to as the Ministry) announced that Minister Kwon Chil-seung will hold a meeting for communication with small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) in the Gyeonggi region at Gyeonggi Technopark (TP) located in Ansan, Gyeonggi Province on the 8th.
This meeting was organized to encourage SMEs in the Gyeonggi region who are experiencing difficulties due to the spread of COVID-19 and to listen to the challenges faced by companies on the ground. Before the meeting, Minister Kwon will visit 'Uber,' a tenant company of Gyeonggi Technopark, to personally experience a COVID-19 sterilization specialized robot.
The meeting will be attended by core companies in future growth industries such as automotive parts, temperature sensors, and augmented reality, including material, parts·and equipment companies, who will convey various difficulties encountered in overall business activities.
Minister Kwon stated, "To reduce the financial burden on SMEs with weak technology protection capabilities, we will support increased legal support costs and technology protection policy insurance, and also expand support for smart factories using robots for digital transformation of manufacturing processes."
Minister Kwon added, "We will continue to carefully examine the difficulties and suggestions felt in the region and promptly prepare and implement solutions to prevent business difficulties for companies on site," and said, "We ask Technopark to take the lead at the center to promote innovative growth of local SMEs in order to overcome the difficult local economic situation."
