[Asia Economy Reporter Kim Yuri] Shinsegae Simon Yeoju Premium Outlets announced on the 7th that it will hold the "34th Yeoju Ceramic Fair" from the 8th to the 17th at the EAST Plaza area to promote the excellence of local culture.
The "Yeoju Ceramic Fair" is the largest cultural exhibition event in Yeoju City, hosted by Yeoju City, organized by the Yeoju Sejong Cultural Foundation and Yeoju Ceramic Cooperative, and sponsored by Shinsegae Simon Yeoju Premium Outlets. About 35 companies participate to conduct ceramic exhibitions, sales, and experience events.
Through sponsoring this event, Shinsegae Simon expects to contribute to revitalizing the local economy by opening new markets for the local pottery industry, which has been struggling due to the prolonged COVID-19 pandemic. Customers visiting the center can enjoy shopping while viewing excellent local ceramic works.
Every day at 2 PM, visitors can watch the "Ceramic Making Demonstration" on the stage at the EAST Central Plaza of Yeoju Premium Outlets. The demonstration, presented by master potters using traditional wheels, includes a unique performance explaining detailed ceramic making processes such as painting and carving. On-site, performances such as fusion gugak (traditional Korean music), jazz bands by local and external cultural artists will be held daily at 4 PM and 7 PM (6 PM on weekdays), along with ceramic live commerce events.
