Gyeongnam Province Cracks Down on Illegal and Unauthorized Use of Port Facilities... Compensation Fees and Coast Guard Complaints Included
Inspection of 7 Regional Managed Free Trade Ports from the 11th to 29th
[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Lee Seryeong] Gyeongsangnam-do will inspect the usage status of port facilities at seven local government-managed trade ports from the 11th to the 29th.
This is to ensure efficient operation of the ports, establish port order, and eradicate abnormal illegal occupation and unauthorized usage practices.
They plan to focus inspections on port facilities subject to exclusive use permits, such as port land, storage yards, and water area facilities.
Those who install illegal facilities and use them without permission will be fined.
If illegal use continues habitually over a long period despite orders for removal and restoration, they will be reported to the Coast Guard.
On-site corrections will be made immediately for violations such as failure to comply with permit conditions, usage exceeding the permitted area, use for purposes other than the permit, and dangerous stacking of materials in storage yards.
