Imsil-gun to Hold Mobile 'Stamp Tour' Event Until November

[Imsil=Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Park Nosik] Imsil-gun, Jeonbuk announced on the 6th that it will hold the ‘Imsil Cheese Mobile Stamp Tour’ event using a smartphone app for tourists visiting major tourist attractions.

The ‘Imsil Cheese Mobile Stamp Tour’ is linked to visit 22 major tourist sites in the area, including Imsil Cheese Theme Park, Okjeongho Lake, and Seongsusan Mountain, replacing the paper stamp tour where stamps were collected on paper stamp tour sheets at Imsil Cheese Theme Park.

The county expects numerous spring visitors to flock to Okjeongho Lake, a representative tourist attraction, with the cherry blossoms in full bloom.

In particular, a suspension bridge connecting Bungeo Island is scheduled to open next month, attracting numerous tourists from across the country to visit Imsil.

It is a great opportunity to tour major tourist spots such as Imsil Cheese Theme Park, which is a paradise for children and where a rose garden is being created, and Seongsusan Natural Recreation Forest, a healing forest, passing through Okjeongho Lake.

In addition, visitors can obtain various tourism information such as introductions to tourist attractions, electronic maps, local commercial district information (restaurants, accommodations, cafes, etc.), and sharing travel review content from visitors.

This stamp tour event is operated as part of the Jeonbuk Province’s project to foster one representative tourist site per city and county, and stamp zones are operated for 22 tourist resources including several hidden attractions in the area that tourists tend to overlook or are not well aware of.

Users install the app on their smartphones, visit tourist sites based on user location information, obtain authentication stamps, and then apply for souvenirs.

This event will run until November, and souvenirs will be given around the 10th of each month to tourists who collect five or more stamps per month or score high in the number of ‘likes’ on travel reviews.

However, the event is targeted at tourists who are not residents of Imsil-gun, and residents of Imsil-gun are excluded from receiving souvenirs.

A county official said, “This stamp tour event is expected to contribute to providing convenience and fun to many tourists,” adding, “With the opening of the Okjeongho suspension bridge, the rose garden at Cheese Theme Park, and Seongsusan Natural Recreation Forest, the number of tourists visiting Imsil is expected to increase rapidly.”
