Gaon Media Subsidiary K-Future Tech Advances Robot Business...Files Related Patents
[Asia Economy Reporter Myunghwan Lee] Gaon Media's subsidiary K-Future Tech announced on the 6th that it has filed key technology patents for entering the robot business.
Established last year, K-Future Tech is pursuing new businesses such as extended reality (XR) solutions and robot integrated platform business. Through this patent application, the company plans to actively commercialize its robot sector business.
The patent filed by K-Future Tech is a technology that enables indoor and outdoor driving robots to climb uneven surfaces and slopes, and solves the problem of unwanted rotation occurring in auxiliary wheels that causes unstable driving. Typical driving robots may fail to drive as intended by the user because the auxiliary wheels deviate from the main wheels' direction when climbing uneven surfaces or slopes.
The company explained that this patent can simplify the robot driving algorithm and reduce human effort and resources.
A K-Future Tech official said, "With the full-scale commercialization of autonomous service robots expected, we filed the patent to secure technology in advance and plan to proceed with additional technology development and patent applications soon. We are currently continuing discussions related to the robot business with major domestic companies and will accelerate efforts to bring concrete results forward."
