Jeongeup-si Activates KakaoTalk Channel with Free Distribution of 'Umulpanda' Emoticons
[Jeongeup=Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Kim Jaegil] Jeongeup City in Jeonbuk announced on the 6th that it will hold a KakaoTalk emoticon distribution event to activate the KakaoTalk channel, which serves as a communication window with local companies.
The emoticons can be downloaded for free via KakaoTalk and are designed using the ‘Umulpanda’ character, featuring commonly used expressions and situations in daily life such as Hello, Fighting, Please, and Congratulations.
To receive the emoticons, run the KakaoTalk app, enter ‘Jeongeup-si Corporate Support Notification Talk’ in the search bar, and add the channel.
The ‘Umulpanda’ character is a compound of the well character (井) from Jeongeup (井邑) and the panda, a symbol of wealth, created with the meaning of wishing all business owners and employees operating companies in Jeongeup to become wealthy.
The 16 emoticons expressing Umulpanda’s various emotions can be downloaded for free by any citizen interested in corporate support news, and the free distribution event period lasts until the 30th of this month.
The city plans to enhance user convenience and accessibility by considering a transition to a two-way communication method that allows inquiries about corporate support projects to be resolved at once without phone calls or visits in the future.
A city official said, “Since we opened the KakaoTalk channel to strengthen communication with companies struggling due to COVID-19, we hope many business people will join and actively use the channel during the free emoticon distribution period.”
Meanwhile, ‘Jeongeup-si Corporate Support Notification Talk’ is a KakaoTalk-based mobile information service that quickly and conveniently provides information on corporate support projects implemented by government agencies or Jeongeup City.
