Korea Institute of Design Promotion "Accepting Entries for Excellent Design Product Selection from Next Month 1"
[Asia Economy Reporter Kim Bo-kyung] The Korea Institute of Design Promotion will accept entries for the '2022 Excellent Design (GD) Product Selection,' which awards the government-certified Good Design symbol to outstanding design products, from next month 1st to June 30th.
This program has been conducted annually since 1985 to promote and encourage the development of excellent design products and enhance the national design competitiveness.
Selected companies can receive various benefits, including ▲use of the GD symbol and the Australian Good Design (GDA) symbol ▲support for entry into the public procurement market ▲preferential points when applying for new projects under the Design Innovation Capability Enhancement Project (R&D) ▲eligibility to apply for the Global Lifestyle Premium Brand and support for entry into DK Shop's online and offline distribution channels ▲preferential points when applying for KOTRA export support base utilization projects.
Applications are only accepted for products that have been sold or are scheduled to be sold domestically or internationally from two years prior to the application date, and the evaluation is conducted in three rounds.
About 80 excellent works will be awarded, including one Presidential Award, the Prime Minister's Award, the Minister of Trade, Industry and Energy Award, and the Minister of SMEs and Startups Award. The awards ceremony will be held at 'Design Korea 2022,' the largest design industry fair in Korea.
