This project is a Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism public contest project, with a total investment of 10.8 billion KRW over five years from this year to 2026, including 5.4 billion KRW in national funds, 2.7 billion KRW in provincial funds, and 2.7 billion KRW in city funds.
By August, the plan is to remodel an idle building in Nodong-dong, Gyeongju City, to establish the Gyeongbuk Tourism Enterprise Support Center.
The main projects include ▲ support for the startup and growth of region-based tourism startups ▲ support for improvement of traditional tourism enterprises ▲ establishment of a tourism job hub ▲ and activation projects for the Gyeongbuk tourism industry.
In the future, the plan is to maximize synergy by linking the Gyeongbuk Tourism Enterprise Support Center with surrounding projects such as the smart tourism city project, central commercial district renaissance, and urban regeneration New Deal projects.
