[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Hwang Du-yeol] The ‘Gijang Light·Water·Dream Education Happiness Town’ will undergo phased pilot operations by facility for one month starting from the 1st, and will officially open from May.
The ‘Gijang Light·Water·Dream Education Happiness Town’ was constructed with a total project cost of 30.7 billion KRW, spanning from basement level 1 to the 4th floor above ground, with a total floor area of 7,936.51㎡.
The facilities include ▲Gijang Light·Water·Dream Comprehensive Social Welfare Center ▲Gyori Library ▲Gijang Youth Center ▲Gijang Light·Water·Dream Hub English Center ▲Gijang-gun Together Care Center Branch No. 3, among others.
On the first floor, there is a multipurpose auditorium capable of hosting cultural events such as performances, movies, and plays, as well as a gallery caf? space where art exhibitions can be held.
Each facility is scheduled to open as follows: ▲Gijang Light·Water·Dream Comprehensive Social Welfare Center and Gyori Library on April 1 ▲Gijang Light·Water·Dream Hub English Center on April 11 ▲Gijang Youth Center on April 19 ▲Gijang-gun Together Care Center Branch No. 3 on April 25. After pilot operations until April 30, normal operations will begin in May.
During the pilot operation period, the ‘Gijang Light·Water·Dream Comprehensive Social Welfare Center’ will offer 10 free sample lectures including ▲learning magic, ▲All Table Tennis! table tennis classes, and ▲preschool cooking activities. The ‘Gyori Library’ will operate a general reference room and a children’s reference room.
A Gijang-gun official stated, “We will strive to introduce more diverse programs in the future to improve residents’ quality of life and expand opportunities for leisure.”
