Jeonju City Operates Various Programs at Cheotmajung-gil Traveler's Library
Inviting Illustrator Nina Kim to Host Digital Drawing Program
[Jeonju=Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Kim Han-ho] Jeonju City announced on the 31st that from April 7 to June 2, every Thursday at 7 p.m., it will invite local young artist and illustrator Nina Kim to the Cheotmajung-gil Traveler’s Library to conduct a digital drawing program for citizens.
This digital drawing education program uses iPads to create personal works under the themes of “Books and Library Stories” and “My Travel Stories,” and the completed works will later be produced as experience products such as postcards at the Cheotmajung-gil Traveler’s Library.
Participants will learn the basics of digital drawing from illustrator Nina Kim, including how to use the application “Procreate,” and will have time to create their own works on the themes of library and travel, such as △making their own character △drawing with the library and travel photos as backgrounds.
Illustrator Nina Kim is a freelance illustrator known for her illustration work for KBS Lecture 100 Degrees Celsius, Naver’s Shwim Post, Big Issue magazine, and is also well known as the author of essay books such as “Days I Want to Disappear” and “Not an Adult, But Thirty.”
Jeonju City plans to operate various travel-related programs at the Cheotmajung-gil Traveler’s Library under the theme “Listening, Seeing, and Drawing Traveler’s Library,” including △Listening ? a travel writer lecture series “World Travel Right Now” (March to December) △Seeing ? smartphone travel photo shooting education with a photographer (May to June) △Drawing ? a digital drawing program in the second half of the year (September to November).
