[Asia Economy Reporter Kim Jong-hwa] Eugene Group's textile manufacturing affiliate, Eugene Hanil Hapsem, announced on the 30th that it has successfully completed the 'Textile Industry Manufacturing Robot Leading Distribution Demonstration Project.'
This project, in which Eugene Hanil Hapsem participated, was organized by the Korea Robot Industry Promotion Agency under the Ministry of Trade, Industry and Energy to strengthen the manufacturing competitiveness of the domestic textile industry, and was conducted by the Korea Textile Machinery Research Institute (KOTMI).
Since May of last year, Eugene Hanil Hapsem introduced manufacturing robots at its Uiryeong factory to promote automation equipment and quality improvement systems in the production process, successfully completing all stages including final inspection and external supervision.
By introducing manufacturing robots to the production site, Eugene Hanil Hapsem automated the process where workers directly packed and stacked products, resulting in improved working conditions. It is also expected to prevent musculoskeletal disorders, a major type of industrial accident, and significantly enhance product productivity.
