[Asia Economy Reporter Seo Mideum] The second black box (automatic recording device) of the China Eastern Airlines passenger plane carrying 132 people that crashed on the 21st has been found. With this, all black boxes of the accident aircraft have been recovered.
According to China Central (CC) TV and others on the 27th, the search team at the accident site discovered an orange tank about 1.5m underground on the eastern hill of the crash site at around 9:20 a.m. that day.
Experts explained that this orange tank is the second black box of the accident passenger plane.
Accordingly, the black box found that day is presumed to be the flight data recorder (FDR), which was the unrecovered one among the two black boxes installed on the accident aircraft.
Chinese authorities plan to hold a press conference to provide detailed information.
Earlier, on the 23rd, one of the black boxes, the cockpit voice recorder (CVR), was found and is currently being read.
With both black boxes installed on the accident aircraft secured, the investigation into the cause of the sudden descent of the aircraft at the time of the accident and other causes is expected to gain momentum.
At a press conference the previous day, Chinese authorities confirmed that all passengers and crew on board the accident aircraft died, and no traces of explosives were found in the wreckage.
