President-elect Yoon Conveys 'North Korea ICBM' Concerns to Xi Jinping: "Let's Cooperate for Complete Denuclearization"
[Asia Economy Reporter Kim Hyemin] President-elect Yoon Seok-yeol expressed concerns about North Korea's intercontinental ballistic missile (ICBM) launch during a phone call with Chinese President Xi Jinping on the afternoon of the 25th.
President-elect Yoon had a 25-minute phone call starting at 5:30 PM on the same day, during which he told President Xi, "Due to North Korea's serious provocations, tensions on the Korean Peninsula and in the region have sharply escalated, causing great public concern," according to President-elect Kim Eun-hye.
President-elect Yoon also urged, "Let us closely cooperate to achieve North Korea's complete denuclearization and to manage the stability of the situation on the Korean Peninsula."
