The ‘Open Campus Meeting’ is a discussion event planned for Busan Mayor Park Hyung-joon to personally visit universities in the Busan area, explore industry-academia-government cooperation projects in specialized fields of each university with companies and students, and discuss sustainable development plans.
The event was held under the theme of ‘Ways to Strengthen Industry-Academia-Government Cooperation for Busan as a Cultural Content City.’
Attendees included Mayor Park Hyung-joon, Dongseo University President Jang Je-guk, KNN President Lee Oh-sang, NHN Cloud Business Division Head Baek Do-min, LG HelloVision Busan Headquarters General Director Kim Hyun-jung, and students from Dongseo University’s Department of Digital Contents and Department of Advertising and Public Relations.
The participants engaged in extensive discussions on strategies to revitalize the cloud industry, plans for the development of the video industry, win-win cooperation methods with local channels, establishment of new cultural content industry companies and infrastructure, and ways to expand job opportunities.
Before the meeting, Mayor Park viewed student creative works at Dongseo University’s New Millennium Hall and toured the Media Outlet and Dongseo Media Center, encouraging students and related personnel.
Mayor Park said, “Dongseo University is a school with great potential for development in design, digital content, and film production fields,” adding, “We will strive to develop Busan as a cultural content city through industry-academia-government cooperation with Dongseo University, which has strengths in the cultural content field, as well as companies and institutions.”
