The two cities and counties signed the agreement to prepare for the surge in cargo volume due to the construction of Jinhae New Port, Gadeokdo New Airport, and the Bu-Ul-Gyeong Megacity metropolitan transportation network.
They agreed to share the necessity of creating a large-scale inland logistics industrial complex centered on Changwon and Haman and to join forces.
The main agreement items include ▲establishing a Northeast Asia logistics platform centered on Changwon and Haman ▲establishing a new Changwon Industrial Line including the Changwon-Haman route ▲constructing a new road between Buk-myeon, Changwon and Chilwon, Haman ▲discovering and promoting city-county linked projects related to the Bu-Ul-Gyeong Megacity super-regional cooperation.
The agreement also includes jointly promoting a basic plan study for establishing a Northeast Asia logistics platform centered on Changwon and Haman.
The two cities and counties will work together to reflect the study results in the national smart logistics platform construction plan to be implemented by the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport this year, and will accelerate related cooperative projects such as the establishment of the Changwon Industrial Line and the new road between Buk-myeon and Chilwon, Haman.
