[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Lee Seryeong] Sacheon City, Gyeongnam Province, will provide special support funds to bus drivers who are struggling due to a decrease in passengers and income caused by the prolonged COVID-19 pandemic.
This applies to drivers affiliated with bus companies whose sales have declined since the spread of COVID-19, who were employed before January 3 of this year and are still working as of March 4.
The city expects a total of 186 drivers to receive the special support funds, including 55 route bus drivers and 131 charter bus drivers.
After reviewing the submitted documents, the city plans to pay 1.5 million KRW per person sequentially from the end of March to April.
