Whenever You Want to Play, 'Deullaknallak'... Busan City Selects 17 New Sites for Children's Complex Cultural Space Projects
[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Hwang Du-yeol] Busan City has selected 17 new sites for the 2022 Busan Children's Complex Cultural Space 'Deullaknallak.'
The Busan Children's Complex Cultural Space project is an initiative to create creative spaces for children, such as libraries and immersive experience content, as well as community spaces where parents can gather and communicate, all within a 15-minute living radius.
Since the vision declaration ceremony last October, 11 sites were selected as pilot projects, and construction is currently underway aiming for opening in the first half of this year.
In January, the city held a report meeting to establish development directions for the children's complex cultural space, and in February, detailed plans were prepared through a business agreement with EBS.
To select new project sites, applications were received from 16 districts and counties.
The city reviewed the timing of development, project budget scale, accessibility, and efficiency of the applicant sites, selecting a total of 17 sites: 2 large sites over 1000㎡, 10 medium sites over 330㎡, and 5 small sites over 150㎡.
The selected 17 sites are scheduled to be completed by the end of this year.
The city plans to secure a unified brand image and professionalism and consistency of the spaces by producing the Deullaknallak brand identity (BI) and space design guidelines.
By 2030, Busan plans to install 500 children's complex cultural spaces throughout the city so that citizens can use them anywhere within a 15-minute living radius.
