'Construction Technicians' Day' Ceremony Held... Jeon Kyung-soo, Yushin Chairman, Awarded Gold Tower Industrial Medal

View original image[Asia Economy Reporter Jo Gang-wook] The 22nd Construction Technicians' Day ceremony will be held on the afternoon of the 25th at the Grand Intercontinental Seoul Parnas in Gangnam-gu, Seoul.
The Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport announced that, together with the Korea Construction Technicians Association, it will hold the '2022 Construction Technicians' Day' ceremony and award government commendations and the Minister of Land, Infrastructure and Transport's citations to 42 construction technicians who have made significant contributions to the development of the construction industry.
The highest honor, the Gold Tower Industrial Medal, was awarded to Jeon Gyeong-su, chairman of Yushin, who contributed to the development of the construction industry through the expansion of the national transportation network and pioneering overseas markets. The Silver Tower Industrial Medal was awarded to Oh Byung-sam, vice chairman of Nuriplan.
Kim In-gu, chairman of Younghwa Keystone Architects Office, and Kim Hyung-cheol, vice chairman of Dongsung Engineering, received the Industrial Medal; four people including Kim Tae-hoon, executive director of Suseong Engineering, received the Presidential Citation; and 34 people including Mok Jin-seong, CEO of Heist General Construction, received the Prime Minister's Citation and the Minister of Land, Infrastructure and Transport's Citation.

The event will be attended by Prime Minister Kim Boo-kyum, Minister of Land, Infrastructure and Transport Noh Hyung-wook, heads of construction-related organizations, and government award recipients. This year, due to COVID-19 quarantine guidelines, only 299 people will attend the venue. The event will be broadcast live in real time via YouTube and the association's website.
