Revu Corporation Signs Strategic Investment Agreement with LG Uplus
[Asia Economy Reporter Donghyun Choi] Revu Corporation, the leading influencer membership company in Korea, is teaming up with LG Uplus to revitalize local commercial districts.
Revu Corporation announced on the 24th that it has signed a strategic investment agreement with LG Uplus. The total investment amounts to approximately 60 billion KRW, jointly conducted by Kiwoom Private Equity (Kiwoom PE), Korea Investment Partners, and LG Uplus. Through this agreement, LG Uplus will acquire a 10% stake in Revu Corporation.
The company cited the mutual goal of revitalizing local commercial districts as the reason behind the agreement. Since 2014, Revu Corporation has established bases in seven major regions nationwide, including the recently launched Jeju branch, and has been strengthening regional capabilities.
Revu Corporation plans to enhance influencer marketing solutions for local small business owners in collaboration with LG Uplus. Given LG Uplus’s recent efforts to support local small businesses through campaigns such as the ‘Donzzul Campaign’ and the ‘Golden Lunchbox Campaign,’ the company intends to explore and implement various measures to improve marketing efficiency based on its extensive influencer membership network and prior campaign experience.
Jang Daegyu, CEO of Revu Corporation, stated, “The shared goal of revitalizing local commercial districts between Revu Corporation and LG Uplus has come to fruition through this strategic investment. We expect to contribute to the activation of local economies based on small business owners by leveraging the high synergy between Revu Corporation’s influencer marketing platform ‘Revu (REVU),’ which runs about 10,000 campaigns monthly, and LG Uplus’s nationwide network.”
