Shinhan Bank Launches 'Ttaenggyeoyo Savings' Linked to Delivery App... Up to 2.9% Annual Interest
6-Month Term Savings Product
[Asia Economy Reporter Yu Je-hoon] Shinhan Bank announced on the 24th that it has launched the 'Shinhan Ttaenggyeoyo Savings Account,' which combines a savings plan with the win-win delivery application Ttaenggyeoyo.
Ttaenggyeoyo is Shinhan Bank's delivery app that pursues a platform beneficial to all participants, including customers, small business owners, and delivery riders, through benefits such as low brokerage fees, fast settlement services, and 10% points accumulation when paying with a dedicated card.
The Shinhan Ttaenggyeoyo Savings Account is a 6-month maturity savings plan with a monthly savings limit of between 1,000 KRW and 300,000 KRW, structured to accumulate a lump sum in a short period by making weekly deposits (automatic transfer required). It allows one account per person via Shinhan SOL, offering a maximum annual interest rate of 2.9%, which includes a base interest rate of 1.4% plus a preferential interest rate of 1.5% per year.
The preferential interest rate is up to 1.5% per year, with 0.5% each for joining as a Ttaenggyeoyo member, placing three or more orders without requesting disposable items via the Ttaenggyeoyo app, and making deposits for more than 15 weeks.
In particular, after subscribing to the Shinhan Ttaenggyeoyo Savings Account, users can conveniently check their deposit status by week in the Shinhan SOL account inquiry. The deposit status is presented in a fun way using Shinhan Bank characters Sol, Molly, Reno, and Sugar Stamps, allowing subscribers to easily confirm missions and preferential interest achievements.
A Shinhan Bank official said, "We prepared the Shinhan Ttaenggyeoyo Savings Account so that everyone can fill their stomachs with 'Ttaenggyeoyo,' which makes everyone happy through good consumption, while also securing their future with savings." He added, "We will contribute the power of finance to realizing ESG and win-win growth in our society, such as by providing preferential interest rates for orders that do not use disposable items."
