This project supports the exposure of local company products as props or souvenirs at film production sites shot in Busan, allowing for direct and indirect promotional effects.
With over 100 films shot annually in Busan on average, significant promotional effects are expected.
Among the four areas of the local win-win content production project?corporate sponsorship partnerships, in-kind support, on-site support, and patronage sponsorship?Daesun Brewery participates as a business operator in corporate sponsorship partnerships and in-kind support.
Daesun Brewery’s products and trademarks will be exposed in various forms such as alcoholic beverage sponsorship, kits, and goods sponsorship at film and drama production sites shot in Busan.
When production companies wish to use sponsors’ products as filming props, these can also be used as sponsored items, providing potential promotional opportunities.
A representative of the Busan Film Commission said, “Daesun Soju will be naturally exposed to well-known actors and production staff, creating opportunities for word-of-mouth promotion.”
The Film Commission also supports up to 50% of the cost of in-kind goods provided by local companies for one time only.
Daesun Brewery is enjoying considerable advertising effects through the local win-win content production project.
Daesun Soju was used as a prop in the film Mora-dong, starring actors Lee Dong-hwi and Han Ji-eun and directed by Kim Jin-tae, scheduled for release in the second half of this year, as well as in Star of the Sea, directed by Jung Ki-hyuk and scheduled for release in February next year.
Daesun Soju was also supported in director Park Chan-wook’s work Decision to Leave, which won the Jury Prize at the 57th Cannes Film Festival.
Decision to Leave stars Tang Wei and Park Hae-il, top-tier celebrities with high recognition, and is currently awaiting its release date, raising Daesun Brewery’s expectations.
Daesun Soju was also provided as a prop by the Busan Film Commission in the feature film Howchi, starring Seo Tae-hwa and Ji Dae-han.
A representative of the Busan Film Commission said, “We hope to use the city brand ‘Busan, a great place to film’ as a resource for local win-win cooperation,” adding, “We have high expectations as representative Busan companies like Daesun Brewery and Samjin Fish Cake share the same vision, and the Busan Film Commission will provide various supports including marketing.”
Daesun Brewery CEO Jo Woo-hyun said, “We are grateful that the Film Commission is creating opportunities for local companies to coexist in the film city of Busan.”
