On the 22nd, a government official said, "As the transition team and the Blue House showed a 'clash' over the office relocation, the moving plan has been completely put on hold for now, and the situation is being observed."
According to President-elect Yoon's original plan, the Blue House would be fully opened to the public starting May 10, and he would begin working at the Ministry of National Defense building from the day of his inauguration. However, President Moon did not put forward the expenditure plan for the 49.6 billion won in preliminary funds requested by Yoon for the relocation plan at the Cabinet meeting that day.
This ultimately means that President-elect Yoon will have to hold a Cabinet meeting after his inauguration to propose the budget. The Ministry of National Defense also planned to complete the sequential relocation of personnel and facilities between the Ministry and the Joint Chiefs of Staff within about 50 days. Based on the plan alone, if President-elect Yoon proceeds with this plan immediately upon inauguration, the relocation to the Ministry of National Defense building is expected to be completed by late June or early July.

In particular, for President-elect Yoon to start working at the new Ministry of National Defense building, the National Disaster and Safety Communication Network installed at the Blue House National Crisis Center must be relocated to the new Ministry building. However, relocating it before the inauguration is practically impossible. The National Disaster and Safety Communication Network, introduced by the Ministry of the Interior and Safety, connects over 2,300 terminals linking the Coast Guard, Fire Agency, Police Agency, Ministry of National Defense, Ministry of Foreign Affairs, and others. Because of this, there are also views that the start of President-elect Yoon's work could be delayed further.
