On the 17th, the county held a meeting of the Local Extinction Response Administrative Support Group chaired by the head of the working group to discuss discovering projects for fund investment and strategic investment plan measures.
According to the Ministry of the Interior and Safety's differentiated support plan for the Local Extinction Response Fund, they established an investment plan and decided to organize and operate a practical TF team within the administrative support group.
Yeongam-gun formed a dedicated practical team within the administrative support group, led by the vice county governor and composed of team leaders responsible for three areas: jobs and youth, welfare and culture, and residential environment improvement. They plan to hold idea meetings and frequently discuss execution plans to discover new projects.
Additionally, they are conducting a service to establish an investment plan for the Local Extinction Response Fund, which started last month, to develop a differentiated, region-customized investment plan.
A Yeongam-gun official stated, "We will establish the most effective and practical investment plan suited to local conditions to secure as much funding as possible and actively respond to the local extinction crisis."

Meanwhile, the Local Extinction Response Fund, led by the Ministry of the Interior and Safety, is distributed annually at 1 trillion KRW for 10 years to 89 local governments designated as population decline areas. Based on evaluations of each local government's investment plans, this year up to 12 billion KRW and next year up to 16 billion KRW will be supported differentially.
