View original image[Asia Economy Reporter Park Hyesook] Namdong-gu, Incheon, is supporting children at risk of food insecurity in collaboration with the private relief organization World Vision.
The district announced on the 21st that on the 18th, it signed a business agreement with World Vision Incheon Gyeonggi Business Headquarters and the Incheon Namdong Branch to provide weekend meals for children from vulnerable groups.
Accordingly, 10 vulnerable children from Namdong-gu Dream Start who are at risk of weekend food insecurity will receive lunchboxes worth approximately 10,000 KRW per meal twice on Saturdays.
The project period is until the end of the year, with bulk delivery over 40 weeks through an outsourcing company. This initiative aims to prevent weekend food shortages and conduct regular monitoring.
World Vision stated, "We planned the lunchbox support project as one way to address children's basic needs for food, clothing, and shelter, and we plan to carry out more specialized projects for children in the future."
