[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Park Jin-hyung] Nam-gu, Gwangju Metropolitan City, is leasing urban gardens in Deoknam-dong to create a nature-friendly urban environment and provide local residents with various opportunities to experience urban agriculture.
Nam-gu announced on the 21st, "To promote active communication among neighbors through farming and provide residents with a place for leisure activities, we are recruiting residents on a first-come, first-served basis to cultivate urban gardens in Deoknam-dong."
The urban garden area being leased this time is 5,310㎡ (1,609 pyeong), located behind Bitgoeul Jeonnam National University Hospital.
Each person will be leased 9.9㎡ (3 pyeong), with a total of 200 people, and the lease fee is 30,000 KRW per 3 pyeong.
Residents who wish to lease an urban garden can apply starting from the 22nd, and due to the growing interest in urban agriculture, early application is necessary to secure a lease.
