Gwangjin District Council Holds Extraordinary Session to Approve First Supplementary Budget for 2022 Including COVID-19 Measures
Opening of the 251st Extraordinary Session from the 21st to 25th: Transition of COVID-19 Quarantine System, Handling of the First Supplementary Budget and Ordinances for 2022
[Asia Economy Reporter Jong-il Park] The Gwangjin District Council (Chairperson Park Sam-rye) will hold the 251st extraordinary session from the 21st to the 25th for five days.
This extraordinary session was convened to deliberate on a total of 13 agenda items, including the first supplementary budget for 2022, ordinance proposals and amendments, and opinion submissions.
On the first day of the session, the 21st, the opening ceremony and the 1st plenary session will be held to commence the session, and a Special Budget and Accounts Committee will be formed. Then, for two days until the 22nd, the respective standing committees will review agenda items such as ordinance proposals, and on the 23rd, the Special Budget and Accounts Committee plans to deliberate and approve the budget.
On the final day, the 25th, the 2nd plenary session will be held to appoint the 2021 fiscal year settlement inspection committee members, approve all submitted agenda items, and then adjourn the session.
There are a total of five councilor-initiated ordinance proposals scheduled for review during this session: ▲Partial amendment to the Seoul Metropolitan City Gwangjin District Council Official Ordinance (led by Councilor Jeon Eun-hye) ▲Partial amendment to the Seoul Metropolitan City Gwangjin District Sports Promotion Ordinance (Councilor Jeon Eun-hye) ▲Ordinance on the Activation of Data-Based Administration in Seoul Metropolitan City Gwangjin District (Councilor Jang Kyung-hee) ▲Ordinance on Support for Urban-Type Small Business Owners in Seoul Metropolitan City Gwangjin District (led by Councilor Lee Myung-ok) ▲Ordinance on Supporting the Activation of Environmentally Friendly Vehicle Use in Seoul Metropolitan City Gwangjin District (Councilor Jeon Eun-hye).
The first supplementary budget for 2022 was increased by a total of 36.239 billion KRW compared to the original budget.
