KH Group Employees Donate 350 Million KRW for Uljin and Samcheok Wildfire Damage Recovery Fund
[Asia Economy Reporter Hyungsoo Park] KH Group donated 350 million KRW worth of funds to support the recovery from wildfires in the Uljin and Samcheok areas.
The Blue Nanum Foundation, established by KH Group, held a donation ceremony on the afternoon of the 17th at the Gangwon Provincial Office with Governor Choi Moon-soon, donating 175 million KRW in cash and KH Philux stand lamps worth 175 million KRW to aid wildfire recovery efforts.
The donation was raised voluntarily by KH Group employees to help the wildfire victims in Gangwon Province. The funds and relief supplies will be delivered to the National Disaster Relief Association, a specialized disaster relief fundraising organization. They will be used for providing housing facilities for the victims and restoring damaged buildings.
Chairman Bae Sang-yoon said, "KH employees voluntarily started the fundraising, and upon hearing this news, the Yeonggwang Hometown Association and merchants from Beopseongpo, Jeonnam, regardless of their industries or fields, gathered their sincere support for Gangwon Province."

KH Group, which finalized the acquisition of Alpensia Resort, visited Woljeongsa Temple on the 5th to deliver 50 million KRW as a development fund for Gangwon Province to become a local enterprise. In 2020, to fulfill corporate social responsibility, they donated 100 million KRW for COVID-19 relief and another 100 million KRW for flood damage recovery and support for victims in the same year.
