Expectations for Future Growth Engine Roadmap Utilizing Forest Resources in Geochang-gun
[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Choi Soon-kyung] On the 17th, Geochang-gun, Gyeongnam Province, held a 'Master Plan Service Kick-off Meeting for Stay-type Forest Recreation Tourism in the Gamaksan, Geonheungsan, and Ahopsan Areas' at the county office situation room, attended by County Governor Goo In-mo, village chiefs, and related officials.
At the meeting, a systematic development plan for Gamaksan, which has been nationally recognized since 2020 through SNS and viral marketing, and a forum to explore development directions for the Geonheungsan and Ahopsan areas, which are familiar to the residents, were arranged.
Gamaksan was presented with the concept of creating day and night scenic spaces to attract external tourists, while the Ahopsan area was presented with the concept of creating spaces for enhancing residents' welfare and preserving history.
This service is a long-term project running until October 2022, and various opinions gathered on this day will be incorporated to prepare a more complete master plan by the next interim report meeting.
