Hwasun-gun Supports 'Youth Cultural Welfare Fund'... 200,000 KRW Per Person

[Hwasun=Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Kim Ji-woon] Hwasun County in Jeollanam-do, together with Jeollanam-do Province, is providing an annual "Youth Cultural Welfare Fund" of 200,000 KRW.

According to the county on the 17th, the Youth Cultural Welfare Fund support project is a program newly implemented this year to offer youth opportunities for cultural enjoyment and self-development, aiming to support the settlement of the younger generation in the region and increase the youth population ratio.

The support targets youth aged 21 to 28 (born between 1994 and 2001) who have continuously held an address in Jeollanam-do and resided there for more than two years since January 1, 2020.

However, public institution employees receiving welfare points (cards) (such as government officials, teachers, security guards, public workers, fixed-term employees, workers at public corporations, foundations, and affiliated institutions), out-of-school youth education allowance recipients, female farmers and fishermen eligible for the Happiness Voucher, and Cultural Nuri Card beneficiaries (who receive a 100,000 KRW difference payment) are excluded.

The application period for the Youth Cultural Welfare Fund is from next month 1st to April 30th.

Applications can be submitted online by uploading the application form, personal information consent form, and other required documents through the card application popup window on the NongHyup Bank website.

The "Jeonnam Youth Cultural Welfare Card Project Application" popup window will be activated during the application period.

If online application is difficult, applicants can visit the administrative welfare centers in their local eup or myeon to apply.

Required documents include ▲application form ▲personal information consent form ▲resident registration abstract ▲health insurance qualification certificate.

If consent for administrative information joint use is given, submission of the resident registration abstract and health insurance qualification certificate is not required.

The cultural welfare fund is provided via a check card and must be used within the year it is received; unused balances will not be carried over.

Usage is limited to cultural activities and self-development sectors (such as cultural and performance viewing, academy tuition, book purchases, etc.) and can only be used within Jeollanam-do.

The support target will be expanded until 2024.

This year, the eligible age is 21 to 28; next year, 20 to 28; and in 2024, 19 to 28.

A county official said, "We hope the Jeonnam Youth Cultural Welfare Card will contribute to improving the quality of life for youth through cultural and leisure activities."
