Appointment of Honorary Ambassadors for the 2023 Suncheonman International Garden Expo
[Suncheon=Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Lee Hyung-kwon] Lee Sin-geun, chairman of Sun Valley Group, donated 100 million won on the 16th to support the successful hosting of the 2023 Suncheonman International Garden Expo.
Chairman Lee Sin-geun took the first step in voluntary fundraising for the successful hosting of the 2023 Suncheonman International Garden Expo as the chairman of the expo's sponsorship committee.
On the same day, Lee Sin-geun was also appointed as the honorary ambassador of the 2023 Suncheonman International Garden Expo.
As the honorary ambassador, Chairman Lee Sin-geun will engage in various activities to participate in the event and promote the expo until October 22 of next year, when the garden expo concludes.
The garden expo sponsorship committee was formed on February 23 to ensure the successful hosting of the expo and to realize a garden expo that unites the entire nation. Lee Sin-geun, chairman of Sun Valley Group, was appointed as the chairman of the sponsorship committee, and Yoo Jong-wan, chairman of Hoseong Industry, was appointed as vice chairman.
The sponsorship committee will conduct voluntary fundraising activities to secure financial resources for the garden expo and promotional activities to spread awareness.
Chairman Lee Sin-geun expressed, “I am pleased to be able to contribute even a little to the 2023 Garden Expo,” and stated, “I will do my best in promotional and sponsorship activities for the successful hosting of the garden expo.”
Heo Seok, chairman of the organizing committee for the 2023 Suncheonman International Garden Expo (and mayor of Suncheon), said, “This donation will serve as a catalyst for the successful hosting of the garden expo,” and added, “On behalf of the citizens of Suncheon, I thank Chairman Lee for taking the lead as the sponsorship committee chairman and honorary ambassador to ensure the success of the garden expo.”
