Media Tomato Launches New Advertising Platform Offering Revenue Sharing for Ad Views
[Asia Economy Reporter Song Seung-yoon] Media Tomato, a digital newspaper publisher and IT solutions company, announced on the 16th that it has launched a new concept advertising platform that pays users 50% of the advertising cost per click when they click on ads.
Typically, the revenue generated from ad clicks is shared among media companies, advertising agencies, and platform operators, but customers using 'NewsTong,' an AI-powered personalized news curation service, can now earn income while reading the news.
The advertising platform launched by Media Tomato divides the revenue as follows: 50% to news consumers, 20% to media companies, 15% to advertising agencies, and 15% to Media Tomato, which operates the platform. Advertisers also benefit from this model as they only pay for actual clicks, enabling a more rational advertising policy.
Users who click on ads and want to receive their earnings must sign up with Tomato Group's ‘ONE-ID’ and open a 'TongTong Wallet.' The advertising revenue is paid immediately to the TongTong Wallet upon clicking the ad.
