Gwangju Seo-gu to Accept First-Come, First-Served Applications for 'Non-Face-to-Face Exercise Program' Until the 25th
[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Shin Dong-ho] Seo-gu, Gwangju Metropolitan City, is operating a 'non-face-to-face exercise program' this year as well as last year to promote the health of local residents who lack physical activity due to the prolonged COVID-19 pandemic and to relieve depression.
According to Seo-gu on the 16th, this program consists of real-time exercise using a video app called 'Bang-guseok Pilates' and strength training using Naver Band called 'Wise Home Life,' and participants can apply and participate in the method they prefer.
The recruitment period is ongoing on a first-come, first-served basis until the 25th, and the program will be operated twice a week for three months starting from the 4th of next month under the guidance of professional instructors.
Participants will be provided with small exercise tools and smartphone holders necessary for exercise, and as it is a non-face-to-face program, prizes will be given based on attendance rate and body fat improvement rate to encourage residents' participation.
A Seo-gu official said, "As COVID-19 prolongs, health management of residents is becoming more important, and participation in the non-face-to-face exercise program is expected to greatly help residents' health promotion," adding, "We will make more efforts to develop and provide various programs so that residents can gain vitality in their daily lives and improve their health."
