Incheon Yeonsu-gu Issues Corporate Specialized Cards Based on Local Currency Platform
Commemorating the 10th Anniversary of Samsung Bioepis Founding
[Asia Economy Reporter Park Hyesook] Yeonsu-gu, Incheon has issued a corporate specialized card based on the local currency platform Yeonsu e-eum.
According to the district on the 16th, the corporate specialized card linking companies and local commercial districts is a joint project promoted by Yeonsu-gu, Samsung Bioepis, and the card agency Kona I to strengthen the local community and revitalize the commercial district.
Samsung Bioepis specially produced the Yeonsu e-eum card to commemorate the company's 10th anniversary and provided it to about 1,200 employees and partners.
Previously, the district has been promoting various Yeonsu e-eum specialized card projects such as the resident card linked to apartment communities and the student ID specialized card combining university and high school student ID functions to strengthen regional competitiveness and increase convenience for residents.
The resident specialized card combines the existing apartment entry and exit functions with payment functions, offering an additional 1% discount at affiliated stores and 1% additional cashback accumulation.
In November 2020, the district issued the nation's first resident specialized card for Songdo Global Campus Prugio, and in March last year, it signed business agreements for specialized cards for Lotte Castle Campus Town and Songdo Park Xi, in August for Songdo Park Lane Dongil Highvill, and in January this year for Songdo Lotte Castle residents.

District Mayor Ko Nam-seok stated, "The goal of the local currency policy needs to expand beyond revitalizing the local economy to strengthening the local community," and added, "We will actively support the promotion of diversified specialized card projects so that many residents can enjoy the benefits of Yeonsu e-eum."
