Imsil-gun Prepares Supplementary Budget of 543.7 Billion Won... Increase of 32 Billion Won
[Imsil=Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters, Reporter Park Nosik] With Imsil-gun, Jeonbuk's budget for this year approaching 550 billion won, expectations for entering the 600 billion won budget era are rising, and it is expected to greatly boost the quality of life for the residents.
The county announced on the 16th that it has prepared and submitted to the council the first supplementary budget proposal for 2022, totaling 543.7 billion won.
This supplementary budget proposal is 32 billion won (6.26%) higher than the original budget of 511.7 billion won, with the general account increasing by 31.9 billion won to 516.2 billion won, and the special account increasing by 100 million won to 27.5 billion won.
The budget was prepared focusing on the smooth implementation of current projects for improving residents' welfare and investment projects to strengthen the county's future competitiveness.
First, to enhance the competitiveness of the county's tourism industry, budgets were allocated as follows: 800 million won for the Okjeongho and Saseondae landscape development project, 1.2 billion won for Seongsusan tourism development and water supply and sewage expansion projects, and 500 million won for tourism infrastructure development within Imsil Cheese Farm Land.
To strengthen the competitiveness of the county's agriculture and livestock industry, an additional budget was allocated: 500 million won for the construction of the Imsil N Agricultural Special Products Distribution Center, 300 million won for rice farming machinery support, 100 million won for agricultural product cold storage support, and 200 million won for high-quality seedling support projects.
Additionally, to improve residents' convenience and living conditions, budgets were allocated as follows: 700 million won for the construction of Imsil-gun Park Golf Course, 400 million won for the Bandabi Sports Center construction, 600 million won for the Osu-myeon Happiness Nuri Center construction, and 560 million won for the installation of the Ado Bridge on Imsilcheon Stream.
Furthermore, careful budgeting was done for temporary senior job projects, transportation support for dialysis patients, disaster and accident prevention projects such as disaster risk zone maintenance, and resident-requested disaster prevention projects to consider socially vulnerable groups.
The first supplementary budget proposal for 2022 submitted this time is scheduled to be reviewed and approved at the 317th Imsil-gun Council extraordinary session starting on the 21st and will be finalized on the 30th.
Imsil-gun, which has entered the 500 billion won budget era for three consecutive years during the 7th elected administration, is producing a series of significant achievements, including resident-centered quality of life improvements, major tourism development projects, and large-scale resident convenience SOC projects.
Not only did the county keep its promise to residents to increase the total budget from just 280 billion won at the time of the county governor's inauguration to 500 billion won during the term, but now there are prospects that realizing a 600 billion won budget is also possible.
A county official said, "This first supplementary budget proposal appropriately allocates funds to key projects for the present and future of the county," adding, "We will do our utmost to promptly carry out projects so that residents can feel the changes in their lives and devote all efforts to opening the 600 billion won budget era."
